Statewide Health Improvement Plan
The Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP), of the Minnesota Department of Health, aims to help Minnesotans live longer, healthier lives by reducing the burden of chronic disease caused by obesity and smoking. CAPI specifically participates in the Healthy Housing, Healthy Communities project within Glendale Row Townhomes and Franklin Terrace, two multi-unit housing properties. To promote healthier lifestyles CAPI.
• Builds relationships and common goals with residents and property administration
• Conducts community meetings for residents to drive the implementation process of SHIP
• Provides educational opportunities regarding smoke-free living and healthy eating
