Partners

CAPI’s multicultural orientation is unique among mutual assistance associations, and has helped to facilitate a growing number of strategic partnerships and collaborations to meet the needs of the community. In order to serve refugee and immigrant communities better, CAPI adapted the strategy of building collective leadership with shared-vision immigrant led organizations through collaborative networks. Some of these networks were built in an effort to expand basic need programming. These collaborations include (1) The CAPI Elder Consortium, a 5-member Asian, Latino, and African coalition, leveraging resources to build civic engagement and inter-ethnic social connectedness, and (2) The Refugee Social Services Consortium, a consortium lead by the International Institute through which CAPI conducts its social services programming. In addition, CAPI built collaborative networks in order to create space for collective thinking and action on equity issues. These groups include (1) The Refugee & Immigrant Women for Change (RIWC) Coalition, a seven-member Asian, African, and Latino coalition to advance gender equity for economic vitality, and (2) The Healthy Housing, Healthy Communities Project, a part of the Statewide Health Improvement Plan that allowed nonprofits like CAPI to lead community health work in Public Housing units.

In addition to programmatic partners, CAPI holds many partnerships with the private and governmental sector. Please explore our various types of partners through the links below:
