Fresh Produce Tuesday at the CAPI Food Shelf!
Held at 6064 Shingle Creek Parkway, Brooklyn Center, we will be distributing bags of free fresh fruits and vegetables to any families in the community who are seeking food support.
The event is open to the public and will take place from 1 pm-3 pm. The event is usually held in the parking lot, but if rainy weather persists, it will be moved inside the food shelf.
Salsa Sin Fronteras
On August 28th from 6 pm - 9 pm, put on your dancing shoes and join us for an unforgettable evening of music, movement, and community in support of CAPI's work with immigrants and refugees!
The night will kick off with a one-hour salsa lesson led by the talented instructors from Minneapolis Salsa Bachata Dance, followed by an evening of social dancing where you can practice your new moves, meet new friends, and enjoy the vibrant energy of the salsa community.
Every step you take supports CAPI's mission to uplift immigrants and refugees as they build brighter futures in Minnesota.
Come dance for a great cause, celebrate the richness of our diverse community, and help make a difference one step at a time!

Ink for Impact: A Tattoo Pop-Up
On August 14th from 4 pm - 9 pm, join us for a special tattoo pop-up where art meets advocacy. Fia Lopez of Gothic Knights Tattoo and Lux from Pinky Promise Tattoo will be there with a flash sheet of designs for the evening, with music from the Ya Ya Boys.
Tattoos are $100 with a portion of proceeds will supporting programs and services that uplift immigrants and refugees as they build safe, stable, and thriving lives in our community. Get meaningful flash art, support a great cause, and stand in solidarity with our newest neighbors. Every tattoo helps create a more welcoming and inclusive future for all.

UNWIND to Support CAPI
Take a moment to unwind while giving back.
Join us on Monday, August 10 at Dual Citizen Brew Co. for a special UNWIND experience benefiting CAPI. Created by Monica Danús, UNWIND brings people together through restorative wellness experiences that promote mindfulness, self-care, and connection, all with the goal of supporting meaningful causes.
Enjoy a guided yoga session followed by a relaxing sound bath, and know that every ticket purchased helps make a difference. All proceeds and donations directly support CAPI's work advancing prosperity for immigrants and refugees across the Twin Cities.

Meat Up With CAPI - Meat Raffle
Meat-Up with CAPI on August 5 at Dual Citizen Brewing!
CAPI is taking over Dual Citizen Brewing's weekly meat raffle to raise funds for programs supporting immigrants and refugees across the Twin Cities!
Join us Wednesday, August 5, from 6–9 p.m. Grab a beer or make a donation to receive raffle entries for your chance to win Hmong sausage or premium meats from Morelli's Meats. With 9 rounds of raffles, you'll have plenty of opportunities to take home some delicious prizes!

Community Action: Know Your Rights around ICE for Brooklyn Park & Brooklyn Center Residents
Constitutional Observer Training
CAPI, in partnership with the Immigrant Defense Network, will be hosting a Constitutional Observer Training on Monday, June 1st, from 5:00–6:30 PM.
This training is intended to strengthen the Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park community network by providing practical tools for:
- Observing and documenting potential rights violations
- Supporting families during moments of crisis
- Building long-term neighborhood preparedness
